Hi, Hawkeye! I was really glad to hear the final outcome on your post! Thanks for keeping us posted on that. I do hope that it continues to improve! We're starting to get into Fall now, and the weather is beginning to change. It's cooler now, but still not cold, by any means. I guess it'll be winter time for you soon!

Do you mean the general job industry or specifically issues that relate to HR? I think an interesting thing regarding differences is just general culture and etiquette. Australians tend to be more laid back and are a lot less politically correct than our American counterparts- I keep hearing things about foreigners ordering 'black coffee' at American cafes and getting dirty looks for not saying 'coffee without cream' instead, hahaha. I'd imagine we have some pretty different sorts of employee relations issues and such to sort out!! =P

I'm Australian =] never been to Canada or America or anything, they seem so much like the centre of the world these days, I feel like I'm missing out somehow hahaha.

Hi, Hawkeye. How have you been doing? We've been having alot of wind and rain here...in other words, typical Brighton weather! LOL Amazingly, we're supposed to be a seaside resort here, but you wouldn't know it. What's it like where you are? Is it snowing yet?

Hi, Hawkeye. Thanks, I'm gradually getting better. I'm hoping to be able to be back working here part-time next week, and hopefully will be back on here full steam in a couple of weeks. I'm really missing being here, and I appreciate being thought of for the quizzes, as it gives me a way to keep my hand in.

The weather is pretty mild here as a rule. It's easy to see why it's always been a resort town. The beaches are difficult, as they're covered with stones instead of sand, but people still fill them. We rarely get any snow, and it's usually more like a very thick frost even then. But the summers aren't hot because of the constant wind. Brighton is very hilly and on the beach...a bit like San Francisco. So, it tends to stay cooler in the summer time. It is pretty, because you get both the green fields and the beach in one view. I'm going to write an article about it for the other site that I'm on, womenco.com. Maybe you could come and read it sometime. I'll be posting it sometime in the next few days.

Hey, Hawkeye, how's it going in Canada? I almost moved to Lethbridge, Alberta some years ago. The Northwest Territory is gorgeous. What's it like where you are?
