Posted 2 months ago We have been taking applications for a position in our maintenance department for a few weeks. It is mind boggling to see the people who are unemployed and unfortunately not hard to see why sometimes. An interested applicant called inquiring where we were located so they could come in and submit an application. A few hours later he called back. Here is the phone conversation: APPLICANT: "Hi, I called earlier about the job I saw in the paper." ME: "Yes." APPLICANT: "I was wondering if you could take my application over the phone." ME: "No, you will need to come in and bring your driver's license and social security card." APPLICANT: "Oh. Ummm well, what if I don't have a driver's license?" ME: "You will need a driver's license for this position, as you will at times need to drive the vehicles for different job tasks." APPLICANT: "Oh. I have about 10 thousand hours of tractor experience. Could you have the Maintenance Man call me?" He proceeds to recite a phone number to me, which is a number for a town about 40 minutes away. Maybe he wants to work over the phone too ;) C'mon .. share your funny stories! I know we could all use a head shaking laugh!

| Posted about 1 month ago "Reason for leaving" on the job history section. These are from my files. "I left because the place stank and it was making my baby sick at home". He was employed at a chicken ranch. "Personal-Spider bite" "Mie Pay" "other worker bite me" "moved". They moved about 10 miles from where they were. "Wally" "Got Sengal" "Urine was dirty"

| Posted about 1 month ago I definitely had to laugh when an employee requested a 2nd bereavement leave within 3 months - on his leave request he wrote: "I know I took leave because my father died a couple of months ago but he only died a couple of days and now he died for real so I need to go to his other funeral" |

| Posted about 1 month ago He only died for a couple of days??? What was that, a modern-day resurrection? How many days was he dead for the last time? These are really too rich. |

| Posted 1 day ago My organization provides security services including both camera systems and security officers for our clients. I recently got a really strange call. Caller: "I've been having problems recently in my apartment with security signals." Me: "I'm sorry, what do you mean?" Caller: "When I'm in my apartment I get an uneasy feeling and strange things happen because of the security signals. Like for example, inside my dishwasher the plastic lids on the top rack will jump off and land on the heating element on the bottom of the dishwasher, forming... inappropriate shapes. Like just recently it formed like a lizard shape or other inappropriate shapes. So, I was wondering if it was due to the security signals." Me: "I'm sorry miss we only provide camera and guard services and do not really deal with security signals." Caller: "OK thanks, bye." |
I mean, come on.
