Posted 2 months ago Hello all, I recently joined this HRGURU website. So far it looks great. I work as a recruiter with a small consulting farm. Recently i have been promoted as a marketer. Marketing is a lot different than recruiting. Is there any help or guideline available from anyone of you which i could use to make my path smoother? i am really eager to learn new things its just the begining always seems tough. I think that one thing that would be helpful is if you would tell me what about your job is similar to recruiting. If we can establish a common ground between the two fields, I think it would be easier for us to help you to get past the differences. I think it would be better to work on it from the positive focus first. |

| Posted 2 months ago I would just go to the library and read some books on marketing. I assume that your role is to market the consulting firms product (I'm guess it's a HR or Recruiting firm), and you're attempting to get employers to outsource the HR/Recruiting functions to your firm or that you're going to help them implement the best practices and increase their efficiency. Either way, you should start working with the local chamber of commerce and other networking sites. Also you can contact people who have had advertisements for their positions listed for more than a month, and tell them what you can do to fill that position. Unless my understanding of what it is that you're looking for is completely incorrect.
