How Can I Determine if I Quality for the PHR exam?
Posted about 1 month ago Hi Everyone, My background is in staffing recruitment and I am looking to pursue a career in Human Resources. I was considering getting a PHR certificate but as I was reading the the requirements of 2-4 years 'exempt' level experience, I am not sure that I have that. Is there a guide where I could find that? I went to the hrci.org website to try and dowload their application and I think I don't have the right software to support the document. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cathy |

| Posted about 1 month ago Cathy, you can call and speak with a manager at HRCI, also if you have a copy of your job description/specification for HRCI to have a look , and that manager will be able to let you know whether you meet the criteria. By the way are you a member of SHRM? Paulette |

| Posted about 1 month ago Cathy, If staffing and recruiting is still an area you wish to pursue in addiiton to other areas in HR, I would also recommend taking recrutiing classes/certifications. As a recruiter you know we need to stay abreast with the technologies and tools that will benefit us and keeping up with the latest tech tools from either books or taking recruiting certs/classes would be useful. Books are great as I can refer to them, but classes are interesting if you like the interaction. Most of the classes/certs are conducted via the web anyway. And good luck with your PHR/SPHR as well!
