Posted about 1 month ago What do you make of this headline - "ISU Recycling Center to Partner with Humane Society" (Terre Haute Tribune Star ). Wonder how this works? Do the stray dogs get ground up like plastic bottles and recycled into Park Disstric picnic tables or are they compressed into bales like aluminum cans? Are the cats shredded like old newsprint to be shipped off to make pulp for new paper? Do you have to separate the animals by species or color – like separating clear from colored plastic? Any thoughts? Mark-

| Posted about 1 month ago Hmmm. I must admit, I would be curious to see that article, because as I ponder the matter, I can not see what the one organisation has to do with the other! What they were partnering to do would be interesting to know! |

| Posted about 1 month ago Actually, the Recycling Center is furnishing the Animal Shelter with free shredded newprint for animal bedding and that makes sense. It's not funny, but it makes sense. In Bloomington, IN the Animal Shelter is actually located next door to the City's recycling center and that coincidence of geography is not lost on some of my collegues there either. Mark-

| Posted about 1 month ago That's interesting. I would've thought that the news print wouldn't be healthy for the animals because of the lead in the print. Or is that an old idea? |
