Happy Friday all! Hope your day's going well. What's your favorite thing about this day of the week?

My boss buys us all lunch, and we sometimes go out for karaoke! (He has a horrible voice, by the way)

Every other Friday, we close down the office early. I go home and spend the afternoon cooking for my girlfriend. Tonight, it's Cuban cuisine!

You know, some theorize that it isn't what you eat, but how much.  In fact, studies have shown that those who allow themselves a treat once a week are more likely to stay on their diet than those who are severely strict with themselves.  Again following the idea of not what but how much, I would say that you might consider that one doughnut, once a week, could be a treat that you could enjoy with a friendly co-worker to wrap up another productive week at work.  Sometimes people also choose to balance out the treat, such as saying that since the doughnut had 200 calories, they would trim 100 calories off of the total caloric intake for each of the next two days.  No harm done.

As a consultant, I don't always have much to call favorite about Friday other than billable hours.  Friday is a very busy time for me often.  I get a lot of managers who have lost their patience with someone by the end of the week and want to fire or serverely discipline someone before the weekend starts.  I think this is a trashy way to start a weekend for both the boss and the employee.  So I spend a lot of time calming them down and gathering information so I can formulate are reasonable action plan and then pick the item up on Monday for action then or on Tuesday.   Haste makes waste in hurried decisions when emotions are heated.

I guess I like 4:00 on Friday as my favorite thing on Fridays.  My phone stops ringing about that time.

Best part about Fridays are after 5:00pm, when the office is quiet, and I am looking forward to the weekend where I can be out in the sun (if it is summer).

My favorite thing about Fridays - at least coming soon - is HS football.  My son is a senior - Go Knights!

 I totally agree with Vannati- late Friday night shopping is always something to look forward to!!

For me, Friday means stay out of workholic life. Being with friends. Calm down myself to rejuvenate my self for next day

Friday nights I generally go calling on my realives and friends and off course I go out with my family for dinner out side.

Best thing  in friday  for me is planning either a long sleep or long hours at golf course (if the weather is dry )

I wish I could reelback my life.

My favorite part of Friday is walking out of the door and knowing that I have a paycheck in one hand and will not see the office for two whole days! (But it doesn't stop my boss from calling me on the phone!)
